About Okanagan Crush Pad Winery

Why it stands out

Okanagan Crush Pad Winery is a Summerland producer behind Haywire, Narrative, Free Form, and Bizou + Yukon. Opened in 2011 by Christine Coletta and Steve Lornie, it began as a home for Haywire and a custom crush facility, then evolved into a winery focused on its own organic, place-driven wines.

What to expect on a visit

The facility features concrete tanks, clay amphorae, large-format neutral oak, and a guest center built into the heart of the winery. The wines emphasize organic farming, low-intervention methods, Switchback Vineyard, Garnet Valley Ranch, and the Okanagan's geological and climatic diversity.

Tour planning notes

Okanagan Crush Pad is a strong Summerland stop for guests interested in modern winemaking, concrete and amphora fermentation, organic vineyards, and the Haywire style. It fits best into wine-focused routes where the group wants to understand how farming and cellar choices shape the finished bottle.
